Mr. & Mrs. Thompson!

As Nancy said, “We live for this.” It’s true. Nothing makes your team of vendors artists on your wedding day, more happy than your million watt smile.

Also, the twinkle lights were obviously calling our names!

The wind was so intense, whipping the freezing rain around us. Her veil was floor length, holding beads of water over the entire surface of it. We were dying laughing trying to stop it from splashing water in all of our faces as it flung around us. I mean, what good sports. And this shot is gorgeous!

Movements were so limited with keeping them under the covered, so we counted it out and I ran back and forth with the umbrella as Adam shot. 😀

Thankful to MVP BIL, Ryan, for having boots for Jenna to hide under there. It made ALL the difference to her being able to withstand the conditions.

We were so numb and soaking that when we called it quits, with zero hesitation or concern for traffic, Jenna just took off to the bus. Like full sprint through the puddles to get to warmth. I mean, she acted like it was 27º or something! HAHAHA. Later I rung out her dress as I bustled her up while her sisters re curled her hair because YOLO!🎉

Jon came through with a surprise slideshow. Winner.

When one of the hairstylists is also half family.

Dad to the mic to sing a song with his rewritten lyrics.

The crowd was heavily amused.

The sibs had so much fun together!

All dry and feeling good, y’all!

I love when parents cut the rug, especially with their kids.

WHAT A FUN DAY! We had talked the days leading up to the wedding hoping the snow would stay from the previous weekend. Then the rain washed it away and forecasted a winter ice storm warning starting just in time for her events! 😱UGH! We didn’t let Mother Nature ruin our spirits! Everyone still showed and it was indeed, magical as ever! I hope you’re all still living off the high you had from that night! Thanks for having us! Much love! Heart, Melanie & Adam

  Helllllo, gorgeous.

The ole “pinch the butt” to get him to turn around!

She accessorized with an heirloom from her name sake. She joked about how she wore it in the harsh weather and potentially ruined it. BUT that fur carries another wonderful love story with it now. Sitting in the closet collecting dust or keeping a bride warm and dry as it soaks with freezing rain.🤷🏼‍♀️

Little Miss Zoe was feeling crummy. First ever fever at 11months, go figure, on her parents wedding day! UGH. We were still waiting on the medicine to kick in. But I’ll take poker face over tears!

We were so thankful the Huhns had a covered patio! We moved the furniture and were able to take 30min of portraits staying dry! Let me rephrase, Adam and I stood in the pouring rain, while they stayed dry. 😂 I never think to take action shots of us because we are trying to move quickly and efficiently, this day would have had some humorous behind the scenes! I looked like a drowned rat. 😬

When mom looks like the older sister!!

😍😍😍

 “Be yourselves.”

They were the last to get off the bus to hustle into church. I held traffic behind me and asked them to run into the center of the street for a split second because I was entirely unsure of what elements we’d face post ceremony!

Yay! Meds working!

“Now, go on girl, putcha ring on it.” 😆

So we had 90 min before the cocktail hour started a couple blocks away. We shoot in all the elements, that’s a given. But we leave it up to the couple, with a little nudge of “Come onnnnn, it’ll be fun! Don’t have regrets about your wedding day. 😉” So we walked across the street and went ALL IN for 30min. God love em!
